Terms of Service

NextListen is a podcast app for the web and Android, provided by Black Sheep Software. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Your account

You sign in with an emailed link or with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address or Google account secure, and for what happens under your NextListen account. You must be at least 13 years old. Accounts are personal and one person should not hold several.

Podcasts and content

NextListen does not host podcasts. It reads public feeds published by the shows and plays the audio or video from the publisher's own servers. The shows, episodes, artwork and descriptions belong to their creators, and we are not responsible for what they publish. If you believe content shown in NextListen infringes your rights, email privacy@nextlisten.co.uk and we will look into it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use NextListen for anything unlawful
• try to access another person's account or data
• scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service
• add feeds that point at private or internal addresses

Your data

Your subscriptions, queues and listening history are yours. You can export your subscriptions as an OPML file and your listening data as a JSON file at any time, and delete your account from Settings. The Privacy Policy explains what we store and who processes it.

Cost and advertising

NextListen is free to use. The web app shows no ads. The Android app shows a banner advert.

Availability

We work to keep NextListen running but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. Features may change or be removed as the app develops.

Liability

NextListen is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it, including lost listening history or unavailable third-party content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you we will say so in the app or by email, and the date at the top will change.
